All October, during cancer awareness month, Laundromax and Clean Rite Center partnered up with the American Cancer Society to help raise awareness on how important early detection of breast cancer is. The American Cancer Society is a world leader in the FIGHT against one of the most common kinds of cancer in women.
For a second year, from September 17th through November 15th, Laundromax and Clean Rite donated one dollar for every Pink Camo laundry bag sold in all 120 locations in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Baltimore. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society to not only help increase awareness of cancer but also, to offer monetary support for research into cancer’s cause, prevention, treatment, and cure. In addition, at checkout all customers were invited to donate an additional dollar.
Last week we met up with American Cancer Society officials at their Manhattan Hope Lodge to present them with a check for $6,721.
