June 1, 2022, Providence, R.I.: Following an extensive remodel, Laundromax laundromat, located at 722 Cranston Street in Providence, R.I., will host its official grand opening from Monday, June 13 to Saturday, July 9. The extended celebration includes a DJ, refreshments, and prizes every Saturday, June 18-July 9, and a “double your money” promotion and a chance to win $100, Monday, June 13-Friday, July 8.
The 5,000-square-foot laundromat, which was completely renovated with a new interior layout, lighting, flooring, and ceiling, now provides high-speed Electrolux laundry equipment; large, 80-pound capacity washers and dryers for family-sized laundry loads and bulky items; full-service drop-off Wash/Dry/Fold for residential customers and area businesses; a state-of-the-art security system; and amenities including free WIFI, over-the-counter soap and laundry bag sales, massage chairs, and flat-screen televisions.
This is the first of 29 New England-based Laundromax locations to feature high-speed Series 6,000 Electrolux Washers and Dryers, according to Laundromax District Manager Gina Griffin. “Our washers generate water extract speeds up to 450 G-force. This high-spin speed removes more moisture from each load and shortens drying time,” explains Gina. “This allows customers to get through their laundry day much more quickly – saving them time and money.”
All told, the enhanced Laundromax is equipped with 50 washers and 56 dryers ranging in size from 20 to 83-pound capacities. They offer superior efficiency and multiple cycle options, including special programs for sanitizing laundry, or washing comforters and shoes.
Adding to the laundry’s open-house perks is a chance to win $100 and a “double your money” promotion extending from Monday, June 13 – to Friday, July 8. To take advantage of the “double your money” promotion, customers simply load cash value onto their loyalty cards. Laundromax attendants will show customers how to use the store’s ESD® SmartCard system which will automatically double the customer’s value for major cost savings. The loyalty cards are used to operate self-service washers and dryers or to pay for full-service wash/dry/fold.
“It’s a great way for residential customers and businesses to get started with our wash/dry/fold service,” added Griffin. “Simply drop off your laundry in the morning and we will wash and dry it to your specifications, then fold and package it for pickup.” Every customer’s order is carefully tracked and kept separate using the laundry’s ESD Wash Dry Fold point-of-sale system.
The fully attended Laundromax is open daily from 6 AM-Midnight and offers a clean, safe, and friendly environment.
